Happyland
Happyland was established in 2010 and is currently providing comprehensive care for 45 orphans of aged 2 to 21. We aim to provide a safe living environment for children, especially for the children who are traumatized by the inevitable separation from, or the loss of, their parents, and left to live in despair. We believe children shall be living in a loving home.
Besides providing hospice to the orphans, Happyland provides additional Khmer and English classes for the orphans and also children from the poor neighborhood, so that children are well-equipped themselves to break the poverty cycle.
The older children at Happyland have developed excellent self-care ability and sense of belonging. They are capable in doing the housework including cleaning, helping caretakers in cooking and laundering, as well as taking care of the younger children.
We would like to give our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the Happy Tree Friends who have donated items such as clothes, laptops, sewing machines…this has given the opportunities for our orphans to learn various skills and knowledge. The boys have also formed Happyland Football Club that they would go for football training every Saturday afternoon. Big thanks to our Happy Tree Friends who have been so supportive by sponsoring football uniform and relevant equipment.
Monthly living expenses per child: HK$1,300
